This is the tale of three sisters. Once upon a time, a breeders "A" litter had three sisters. A Jin Jin, APenny, Alita. All three where raised in the same exact fashion. Their mother was Kyra, their Dad Bosco. Those two were kinda alike in some ways. Basco however, was way more scary. So, the three sisters grew up running and playing and learning how to do basic obedience. All three of them had this interesting trait where if you dropped the leash, they would stay right there like a horse. They absolutely would not pull on that leash, even if it meant getting out of the sun into the shade. Jin and Penny loved to run and find the ball. Alita thought you must not want it if you threw it all the way over there. Alita and Penny could not understand why anyone would jump over that odd thing that I was attempting to get them to go over. The jump was set up so it was about chest high. Obviously, you just go around it. Oh wait, there is a fence there. Well, Alita and Penny just figured they would wait me out. Ball ? Alita didn't care. Penny cared a great deal, but was sure that she should just go back the way she came. Can't. Well, she would just stay right there. Jin Jin had none of these issues. She went right over, and snatched the ball out of my hand. The first time she ever saw the pallisade, it was set up at 1 meter 8 which is about 5 foot 9 inches. I held the ball up, she jumped completely over the jump, so I threw the ball. Penny put her feet on it, and Alita leaned on my leg. No amount of anything would make them even try. When we went running, the girls would inevitably end up Jin Jin in front on the left, Penny on the right, and Alita somewhere behind me. No amount of anything would make Alita try harder. Matter of fact, the further we went, the further back she was. When the other dogs were dashing off to chase jackrabbits, Alita would chase them as well. When the chase was over, she would come back and end up being 30, 40 yards behind me. She went this fast, and that was it. When we played tug, the girls liked it at first. Then I could see their confidence start to fade. Does Dad really want this thing ? I could feel their mouths quivering. These are the same girls who got super excited because I was rubbing them and telling them how good they were and they would grab my pants and not leg go for anything. Jin was a good girl. She liked people. Penny only cared about her tennis ball. She was extraordinary at finding tennis balls were there were none. She would look for hours. Alita was the one who would bite someone. They were not me, and maybe they should just get bitten for being next to Dad. Penny had 4 puppies in two litters with me. Jin had 5, then 11. Alita had small litters as well. Alita was OFA good, Penny was OFA excellent. Both of their hips looked exactly alike, Alita got screwed. Jin had eh hips. She jumped higher, and was quite a bit faster than her sisters. Every run, I thought, well, Alita probably has bad hips. That's why she is back there. Jin must have amazing hips, cause man she is fast. Nope. Penny was always up with me on the bike, just figured she had good hips. Nothing is really as it seemed with these three.
A tale of three sisters.
